My son is dead

My son Whitney died this morning. They won't tell me how. I suppose he was killed by another inmate. I don't know what to do.

Dear Jeff, I am heartsick at this news. Woody and I send our love and prayers to you and Di and your family. You have kept Whit alive through his writing. Thank you for that.
I am so sorry.
Love,

Dear Jeff,
Tom and I are so sad with you and your family.
I just spoke with Di for a few minutes as she drives home.

We're sending love and prayers to you, along with a willingness to be of use in more concrete ways.

Love,
Mary

I'm so sorry. I can't find words to tell you what I really want to say.
As much, you are and will be in my thoughts and of course Whitney as well.

I'm so very sorry. I hope that when you get the news of how he died, it was not from lack of medical attention or violence. I pray God will comfort you.
